Riverfront RV Sites

  • Full Hookups Right on the River!

The Harpers Ferry Campground has the most stunning RV camping in West Virginia. Most sites are Full hook-up with direct Potomac River access. There is a boat ramp and river activities available right on site.

Amenities

Site Details:

  • Riverfront RV sites are full hook-up with water, sewer, and 30/50 amp electric hookups.
  • Some sites cannot accommodate RVs over 35 ft long. Please notify staff of the length of your camper at the time of reservation to help ensure they will fit into a site.
  • All of our sites are back in, not pull through; therefore you will have to back into or out of your site.
  • Tents are only allowed at tent sites.
  • There is a handicap-accessible bathhouse with 3 showers as well as a portable restroom trailer with running water.
  • RV sites do not have additional parking. If guests have additional vehicles, they can park in our main parking lot at the campground location.

  • A 1.5-mile walking and biking trail leads directly to Harpers Ferry from the campground. Canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards are available on-site.
  • There is an active railroad that runs adjacent to the campground and a one-way tunnel nearby. The train runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, although the frequency varies. You may hear honking from the tunnel so if you’re a light sleeper, it will help to bring earplugs for the occasional trains at night.
  • Please be respectful to other campers and site users by observing quiet hours and following campground rules. We reserve the right to refuse service to disruptive guests.
  • All sites have river access but not all sites are riverfront.
  • No Outside Firewood is Permitted at this time. Firewood is available for purchase at the campground.
  • Our Harpers Ferry campground is a mixed-use site! Our canopy tour operates above the campground. The last zipline in the Aerial Adventure Park ends at the campground. The boat launch is used by River Riders to drop off some of their guests.

  • Late arrivals may utilize the parking area for the night. Guests can find their camping packets containing site information and parking passes at the welcome sign located at the entrance of the campground (mailbox located on the backside of the sign).
