  • Shenandoah River tubing guests should be in good health and have a moderate level of physical activity. Individuals who exceed their ideal weight range by more than 35 lbs. may find this trip unsuitable.
  • Please note that this trip is a self-guided experience, so there will not be any staff members with you on the river. Guides are available for groups that consist of 10 or more individuals.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate single tubing guests on the river. A minimum of 2 people is required per reservation.

Our flat water tubing trips have the furthest takeout point downriver, making it the longest tubing trip in the Harpers Ferry area. For those interested in spending the entire day on the river, we offer the Full Day Tubing option. You can choose to do flat water tubing all day or combine it with white water tubing and then unwind with flat water tubing.

What are the differences between the different types of tubes available?

The Standard Tube is made of heavy gauge vinyl fabric designed for river use. It offers greater durability and comfort compared to a vinyl “swimming pool” tube and basic black rubber tubes, as well as featuring handles.

The Deluxe vinyl tube is designed for river use. It is made of a heavy gauge vinyl fabric for comfort and durability. It has handles, a seat bottom, a cup holder, and a backrest. The Deluxe tube costs $5 more to rent than the standard vinyl tube.

The Tube Tracker is made for river use and is made of heavy gauge vinyl fabric. It is more comfortable than the standard tube and has a light-duty paddle. It has handles, a seat bottom, a cup holder, and a backrest. The Tube Tracker is $5 more expensive to rent than the deluxe vinyl tube, and $10 more expensive than the standard tube.

Don’t forget to add your floating cooler (a tube that holds everything in the center of the tube) or your cooler tube (you bring your cooler that you sit on top of the tube) onto your reservation!

We have a Tubing Season Pass available. The season pass is valid from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Thursdays-Sundays, 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
