River Riders is Earth Friendly

River Riders supports our environment as well as local organizations that bring awareness to needs in our community.

• Earth Day Raft trips both in the spring and in the fall to help clean up the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers. These trips are offered at a discounted price for guests who want to get involved and help to clean up the river while enjoying a great raft trip.
• Recycling program at our shop. We supply recycling bins throughout our main check in retail location and encourage our guests to recycle as much as possible.
• On the river leave no trace program. We supply guests on our tubing trips with bags to bring back all of their trash and not leave it behind.
• We support Harpers Ferry Outdoor Festival. This organization promotes and supports rivers in our community and beyond.
• We offer shoe recycling to support Soles 4 Souls which brings shoes to those in need.
• We support Blue Ridge Watershed Coalition river clean up.
• Our properties utilize energy efficent lighting.
• Plant a tree program, adding trees back into our environment each year.
• Sponsor of our local High school and community sports teams.
• Sponsor of The Mountain Eagle Wounded Warriors organization providing opportunities for wounded or injured American military service members and selected family members, to enjoy the therapeutic effects of adventure activities and relaxation opportunities primarily within the states of West Virginia and Virginia.
• We supply donations to local community organizations.
