S 6 The S6 For "Fast dynamic" Xplay. Designed specifically for new school Hardcore Freestyle paddling. 1.9m (6"2') of the latest design innovation. Use them on steep, dynamic, fast waves, in pourovers and bouncy holes for ollies, hops and big air fast action! Also works great on super shallow spots with unexplored potential. Available in two sizes. The "190" for small to medium paddlers and the "200" for medium to larger paddlers.

  • Aggressive Rocker Break
To enable you to dynamically "ollie" the S6's out on a wave or perform super high (carving off that swallow tail) air blunts, air wheels ect. The S6 has a generous 22 degrees of rocker in the front and 19 in the tail (This is measured from the flat plain of the hull).
This rocker on the bow also has the affect of giving the S6 "form lift" even at slow water speeds, so that it rides up over eddy lines and boils ect. This effectively lifts the boat over an obstacle making the S6 a predictable boat to paddle around more difficult eddylines and river features.
The rocker breaks are critically positioned within the paddler's effective weight throw area. This positioning allows you to maximize your ability to throw your weight over the front 22 degree change in the hull and then rapidly back over the 19 degree in the tail, which will start to get you airborne. You take it from there!

    Maximized Planing Area
No gimmicks to create drag, just a large planning hull designed to provide lift even at slow water speeds and provide quick release when you want it. Slightly curved in its cross section to let you snap from edge to edge while carving maintaining fast boat speed to manoeuvre and also allows you to land air moves with stability and settle back on the wave or in the hole.

    Inverted Rails
Having a sharp release edge allows water to dissipate from the hull. Helps give the secondary stability of a round hull but with the performance of a slick releasing flat hull. Keeps the S6's real user friendly and easy to roll.

    Performance Fittings
Modified for 2002 our "Super XR" rapid adjust, quick release, ratchet backrest system is mounted on the fully adjustable contoured thighgrips. Combined with the new Play Seat (PS) a ergonomic and supportive seat pan that lets you rapidly and easily micro trim the S6 for different water conditions for optimum performance (this is vital in a boat's this short). "Super XR" and the "PS" combine to give maximum power transmission and lightning fast reaction time so that you can drive the S6's to their performance envelope.
"Shoc Bloc" bulkhead footrest. Tough ABS vac formed unit push-fits in to the front of the boat to give you a solid and dependable footrest. (can be quickly removed by pulling on the webbing loop for more foot room if required)
"Play Series" end grabs tested to 500kgs (1100lbs) some of the strongest on any play boat out there, also provide you with the ability to lock up your boat.

    Power Pockets
OK we have to claim this one for ourselves here! While working on the S6 we were looking at how we could give you control and assistance while performing loops, air loops mega loops whatever kind of loop you want to do really. After lots of testing the one that worked the best while not compromising other key areas like cartwheeling, volume distribution and general river handling was the simplest!
We mounted some real simple steps on the front and rear deck, we faired the steps in to the deck so that they did not affect the boats ability to cartwheel like crazy. Then we built more volume in and around the knee area (this also made the boat more comfortable) and jacked up the back deck a touch to make sure that we balanced out the boat volume to keep it all working properly.
It worked a treat, water rushes up the deck towards the feature as you bury the nose and then is trapped in the pocket, this upward thrust assists the natural "lift" provided from the volume of the boat giving you higher moves. It also holds the boat in the water laterally giving you great control over the boat while you perform the move.
Overall this gives you a really innovative new feature that allows you to learn, develop and take "looping" a stage further, under control and without affecting other areas of the boats ability to give you a fantastic ride!

    Swallow Tail
Short flat hull boats are super fun but can often slide out from underneath you when driven in to a hard carve while surfing or on steeper waves. This loses speed and momentum for dynamic moves. To alleviate this design compromise in these boats we have designed swallow tails in to the S6's. Its not a new concept and has been around in board surfing for many years. However, now that high performance play boats are being asked to do more and more and generally getting shorter the concept of being able to effectively lengthen the rail on the boat giving you better carving and surfing ability while not affecting overall length make its use in these boats a great performance enhancer, giving you the ability to drive the boat out of a carve in control with plenty of momentum for something special!

  • Extras
Just like the rest of your S6 we don't scrimp and save on the little things, take a look at your drinks bottle, its Nalgene of course. Not the cheapest by far but the best you can get! Your S6 will also come complete with a full "Fitting kit" comprising self adhesive hip pads that you can shape to you because we are all different sizes, self adhesive foam to stick where you need it for max comfort, and that important fish sponge!
