Guide Assisted Whitewater Kayaking / Duckies
The guide assisted kayaking trip follows the same path as the rafts down the last reaches of the Shenandoah River. Take in the history and scenery of the Shenandoah River as you float past Harpers Ferry National Historic Park between the soaring cliffs of Maryland and Loudon Heights, where you join the mighty Potomac. On the Potomac watch out for the snarl of the “Mad Dog” and hold onto your boots as you ride the wild “White Horse.”

We invite you to explore the ancient Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers in one of our recreational kayaks. These lightweight, quiet crafts are ideal vessels for discovering the abundant wildlife that flourishes in these amazing riverine ecosystems. Paddlers often see: swimming Turtles, cavity-nesting Wood Ducks, elegant Egrets, Belted Kingfishers, fishing Osprey, and stately Great Blue Herons. You may even witness the majesty of our nation's bird-the Bald Eagle! More so, the waters provide for trophy class Smallmouth Bass and other angling opportunities. So pack your fishing pole and binoculars, because the current only flows one way, and out here it's just you and nature... We will supply you with your kayak, the shuttle to and from the river, a map, and other necessary equipment.
Remember - the guiding is up to you!

Most trips are on the Potomac River, but if you are running short on time, hop on board our Shenandoah Express Trip. Trips can sometimes be arranged on the Shenandoah for sections other than Harpers Ferry, if river conditions are suitable, generally in the spring time.

    <field_testimonials_value>
This is a thank you for arranging out trip on Sunday June 12 for the Maryland Special Olympics Kayaking athletes and coaches. Specifically, the athletes and coaches that attended from Carroll County and had a truly amazing day on the river and sincerely appreciated the opportunity to paddle together for an extended trip. Our special thanks to Edy, our bus driver, who exhibited patience, skill and a truly wonderful sense of humor as he managed the traffic, the equipment, the noise and our own “unique qualities” as he transported us to and from our day on the river. Kudos to all for a trip well done and providing the opportunity for our athletes. - Ed Ball

The staff was very efficient and friendly. They were knowledgeable and very helpful. The staff made a recommendation to shorten our route and it was the best advise we could have gotten. We loved your company and will be back with other groups.
