River Riders is THE Original Harpers Ferry tubing company, with over 3 decades of experience! On a sizzling summer day, there’s nothing more refreshing than floating down the river in a tube.
Guided White Water Tubing
River Riders offers the only licensed Class III white water tubing trips in the Harpers Ferry area. The trip starts with a section of flat water, but soon the excitement builds through Class I, II, and III white water. Splash over ledges, bounce through holes, and ride some wild wave trains in our specially designed white water tubes. The tube low-profile design and the assistance of your guide will puts you in the middle of the Potomac River’s white water action.
River Riders’ Guided White Water Tubing trip includes a white water-class PFD (personal floatation device), an upgraded vinyl white water tube, a certified guide, and round trip shuttle bus. This trip is for guests 10-12 years of age and older (depending on water levels).
Recommendations:
All tubers should be in reasonably good health and physically active. Those who are concerned about taking the white water tubing trip on their own may find this guided option more desirable. Those exceeding their ideal weight range by more than 35 lbs. may find this trip unsuitable. The trip last approximately 2-2.5 hours. No previous experience is necessary. Reservations are required. Guided trips are also available for flat water sections.

On Friday, June 26th, our church youth group (the Oakton Stake of the LDS church) brought 185 people (mostly 14-18 year olds) up to Harper's Ferry to provide service to the park in the morning, and then to go tubing in the afternoon. We had a great time tubing down the Potomac with your company and were very impressed with the great service which your employees provided. Kym and Tacy in particular were very pleasant to work with, and we were very pleased with our whole tubing experience. The river guides and bus drivers were great, as well, and one of my fellow planners says Amanda was helpful, too.
