River Riders new oar rig raft trips allow you the opportunity to plan the perfect river trip for your group. Oar rigs are ideal for families with young children or seniors’, or groups looking to sit back and enjoy the view. The guide will take care of the maneuvering and paddling for you! Enjoy a Full Day trip on the Potomac River which includes both flat water and white water throughout the trip as well as a lunch! Or make it Half Day trip or an even a quicker outing and do an Express trip. Both the Half Day (4 hours) and Express trip (2 hours) are flat water trips. Let our most captivating personalities entertain you with local history, legend, and lore of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. The stretches of water that we run are the most scenic in the area, offering a chance to view a variety of birds such as ospreys, great blue herons, peregrine falcons and bald eagles!

Oar rigs are able to accommodate 4-6 guests, depending on the size of the boat, plus a guide. They can be paddled by the guide alone or with help of the passengers, it’s up to you! All of our trips can be tailored to meet the needs of your group, as we are able to adjust the length and the extras such as food and wine.
