Description:
Canoeing on the Shenandoah River
- Harpers Ferry, West Virginia
Short on Time? This canoe trip was designed for those with only a brief period to spend on the river. The express canoe trip is our shortest trip offering.
The opportunity to travel through the heart of the Appalachians will put you in the midst of magic and beauty. We invite you to explore the ancient Shenandoah River in one of our many canoes. These lightweight, quiet crafts are ideal vessels for discovering the abundant wildlife that flourishes in these amazing riverine ecosystems. Paddlers often see: swimming Turtles, cavity-nesting Wood Ducks, elegant Egrets, Belted Kingfishers, fishing Osprey, and stately Great Blue Herons. You may even witness the majesty of our nation's bird-the Bald Eagle! More so, the waters provide for trophy class Smallmouth Bass and other angling opportunities. So pack your fishing pole and binoculars, because the current only flows one way, and out here it's just you and nature... We will supply you with your canoe, the shuttle to and from the river, type III pfd, and paddles. Remember - the guiding is up to you!
